Co-hosting explained
A partnership, not a handover
A co-host, usually someone local to your holiday home, can take care of your listing, guest enquiries and communication, freeing you from the day-to-day.
You choose how involved you want to be: take a completely hands-off approach or stay closely connected, reserve time for yourself and keep sight of bookings and performance.
Your listing stays in your name, so the reviews, booking history and reputation you build stay with you, even if you choose to move on.
HolidayHost takes these principles further, with a co-hosting model designed around the outcomes that matter most to our Owners.
Getting started
From understanding your holiday home to helping it perform
-
Talk to your local Host
Start with a conversation with your local Host, who’ll get to know your property, understand what matters to you and talk through its potential.
-
Build & optimise your listing
We create or optimise your listings on Airbnb and Vrbo, bringing together compelling descriptions, imagery and expert optimisation to help them stand out.
-
Your property goes live
Once live, your local Host handles guests and the day-to-day, while our expert team manages pricing and revenue performance behind the scenes.
-
Stay connected and in control
From then on, co-hosting settles into a routine. The Owner App keeps you up to date with how your home is performing, while your local Host remains your trusted point of contact.

More detail
Who does what, and what it means for you
Airbnb uses the term co-host for someone who works alongside a listing Owner on some or all of the work involved in hosting. At HolidayHost, we’ve taken that principle further, combining a dedicated local Host with a specialist team behind the scenes to help Owners achieve better returns, greater flexibility and more control over their holiday home.
Once your property is live, your local Host and the HolidayHost team take care of bookings, pricing, guest communication and the day-to-day running of your holiday let, including arranging and overseeing housekeeping where needed. What’s included lists what our fee covers. You can follow bookings, availability and financial performance through your Owner App and receive monthly payouts, without needing to manage it all yourself.
Your local Host is the person on the ground, bringing local knowledge and hands-on oversight of your holiday home. Behind them, HolidayHost’s specialist team brings expertise in pricing, revenue, listings and booking platform technology. It’s this combination of local delivery and expert backing that makes the HolidayHost co-hosting model different.
As much or as little as you prefer. You can take a hands-off approach and leave the day-to-day to us, or stay more closely connected if that’s what suits you. Either way, you can check your bookings and income in your Owner App, while retaining the freedom to use your home and control how it’s let.
On Airbnb, yes. Your listing stays in your name, along with the guest reviews, recognition and reputation it builds over time, so that value stays with you even if you move on. Vrbo does not yet offer co-hosting, so your Vrbo listing is created within HolidayHost’s account until it does. If you’re moving from another provider, Joining HolidayHost covers what happens to a listing you already have.
We list holiday homes on Airbnb and, where appropriate, Vrbo, using the reach of established booking platforms to put your property in front of guests who are already looking to book. This means we don’t need to build the cost of running and marketing our own booking platform into the HolidayHost fee, while our team can focus on your listing, pricing and performance.
