When guests have a great stay, it shows in the ratings and reviews future guests see when choosing where to book. On Airbnb, homes that consistently deliver great experiences can earn Guest Favourite status, helping them stand out on the platform.
That’s what makes our 2025 Airbnb Award for Excellence meaningful. We didn’t set out to win an award; it came as a result of the work our local Hosts and expert team were already doing, with HolidayHost achieving the highest proportion of Guest Favourite properties in Northern Europe.
For our Owners, the award isn’t the outcome that matters. It’s evidence that the way we look after homes and guests delivers the kind of experience people value, helping their properties stand out for the right reasons.

The award, and what sits behind it
The proportion of HolidayHost homes holding Airbnb’s Guest Favourite status. It measures how many of the homes we look after reach that standard, so it says something about all of them. What the status means for your own home is set out above.
Because one named person is responsible for it. Your local Host is who you deal with, and who works with the cleaners and trades in the area. Behind them, the expert team keeps an eye on how the home is performing. If something needs sorting, you know who to call. What your Host does week to week is on Local Hosts.
It’s what your local Host and the team work towards, and it’s the standard the award was given for. Guest Favourite status is Airbnb’s to give though, property by property, so it isn’t something we or anyone else can promise you.
What the fee pays for. A local Host who lives near your home, with an expert team on pricing and listings behind them. And the guest care that goes into every stay. What’s included lists the work in full, better returns covers what sits outside the fee, and the terms of the agreement, including its length and notice, are on joining HolidayHost.
